In her years with the government, she has gained extensive experience in the Creative Industries (Film/TV, Publishing,

Advertising), Education, Consumer GoodsFood & Drink and Healthcare sectors, working closely with industry representatives, associations
and public bodies both in the UK and in Italy. In the recent years she has also acquired knowledge of the Marine industry and Cosmetics sector.

 

Valeria has always worked with passion and dedication, with customer satisfaction as her top priority and this has been widely recognised.

In 2000 Valeria received the FCO “D-Group Special Award” for successfully assisting new/inexperienced British exporters and in 2008 UK Trade & Investment awarded her with an  “Excellence Award” for Individual Outstanding Achievement.

 

Valeria has also been responsible for several special projects such as the “GREAT Week of Creativity” at Milan Expo – a two-day conference on the rapidly changing world of media for the younger audience, in collaboration with the Children Media Conference.

She has also promoted several events in the TV and Film industry, working together with ANICA, the Venice Film Festival and other Italian sector key players.

 

Prior to working for the UK  Government, Valeria had worked for 8 years in the private sector, covering marketing roles within luxury private companies and international communications agencies, following her graduation in Public Relations at IULM Milan.

 

Valeria is an Associate Member of the Institute of Export (AMIEx).

Valeria is the founder & CEO of UK Business Bridge since early 2017. 

Previously she had worked for 20 years for the UK government as Senior Trade Adviser within the British Consulate General Milan – Department for International Trade, Italy.

 

She started at the FCO in 1997, working her way up to the role of Deputy Head of Trade, working on market and partner researches; feasibility studies; organisation of trade missions, events, conferences; group participation at trade shows; webinars; etc..
